Curious if anyone has any details on the rescue. Glad everyone made it out ok and that SAR got there so fast. From the article it seems like someone got stuck under the stone at the final wiggle. I would be very interested if this was a “not prepared” type situation or an honest “I slipped when I really should not have” type situation. Folks in the comments seem to be pointing to a lack of up climbing and down climbing skills but I figured there is a chance that someone here might know what happened. Or better yet maybe the subject in the story is here reading this and ready to respond right now!
The problem was not lack of preparedness, the person who got stuck had done the canyon before and knew what to expect. He overestimated his ability to squeeze through a narrow spot in the rappel.

That is what a figured. Some of the KSL comments extremely judgmental and un-nuanced (as is to be expected).
